Spice Mobile phone with optical drive Vmedia

But once thought that we already know all the ways of transferring content to a mobile phone, the question of making something fundamentally new in this case settled once and for all. However, the company Vmedia Research presented at the Mobile World Congress of a new type of optical disc created specifically for mobile phones.

By using blue laser, the drive is able to read special cartridges from 1 - GB discs 32 mm in diameter, on which the film is recorded in DVD-solving, compressed H.264 codec. This technology company Vmedia introduce mobile phone production company Spice, which recalls the drive itself in the console Sony PSP. Debut of the new system will take place in India and South-East Asia, while the market for data CDs and 40 films will be released from Bollivuda at a price of $ 5 per piece.

However, the company Vmedia and Spice, which currently has concluded contracts for the 1000 content. We will not build predictions on the future of this development and make long speeches on the difficulties of new technology standardization process, in any case, the idea is original and interesting.
